Xiaoguo Zhu
Ms. Zhu owns her bachelor degree from Pittsburg University, where she studied with Paul Carlson and Selim Giray. As winner of the Waddill Chamber Music Competition and the Southeast Kansas Symphony Concerto and Aria Competition, she has performed with the PSU faculty string quartet and has also been a soloist with the SEK Symphony. Zhu was the concertmistress of the PSU Chamber Orchestra and was a member of the Springfield Symphony, North Arkansas Symphony, and Tallahassee Symphony. She just recently received her master degree from the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri Kansas City. Currently, Ms. Zhu is pursuing her artists degree at Park University, where she studies with Ben Sayevich. --------------------------------- University Resources |




Xiaoguo Zhu began violin studies in China at the age seven with her father and later with Ji-Yang Zuao, head of the Preparatory School of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. At the age of ten she won second place in the Youth Artist Music Award in Zhejiang, China. At the Shanghai Conservatory, she studied with Feifei Wu. She was a member of the Shanghai Conservatory Symphony and Wuhan Symphony. She gave several solo recitals in Shanghai.
