Recent Changes

The following list shows changes that became official Park policy starting in July 2006 with the advent of the 2006-2007 catalog.

  1. We've added two new courses:
    1. IS 370 - Information Security
      IS 370 is intended to replace IS 470. In fall 2007, the ICS Departmentt will propose removing IS 470 from the catalog.
    2. CS 373 - Computer Network Security

  2. We've updated course descriptions for several courses so that the course descriptions more accurately reflect what's being taught in the courses:
    1. CS 208 - Discrete Math
    2. CS 219 - Programming Fundamentals
    3. IS 205 - Managing Information Systems

  3. We've changed prerequisites for several of our courses:
    1. Change the prerequisite for CS 351 from CS 219 to CS 208 and CS 225.
    2. Add CS 208 as a prerequisite for CS 365.

  4. We've modified the curricula for several of our degrees:
    1. In CDL's Computer Science degree -
      Change CS 380 Compilers to CS 322 Web Programming II.
      Change MA 212 Calculus and Analytic Geometry III to MA 311 Linear Algebra.
    2. In CDL's M/CIS degree -
      Replace the two CS/IS electives with one CS/IS elective and CS 208.
    3. In the Parkville daytime program's ICS degree -
      Add a minor.
      Add CS 300 to the list of core courses.

Future Changes

The following documents contain motions proposed and approved during the Fall 2006 term. The motions become official Park policy starting July 2007 with the advent of the 2007-2008 catalog.
