The following list shows changes that became official Park policy starting in May 2009 with the advent of the 2009-2010 catalog

  1. CS301 - Assembly Languages has been removed from the course catalog.
  2. Requirements for the Network & Security major have changed

2008-2009

The following list shows changes that became official Park policy starting in July 2008 with the advent of the 2008-2009 catalog.

  1. We've updated course descriptions for several courses so that the course descriptions more accurately reflect what's being taught in the courses:
    1. CS 144 - Beginning Programming with Multimedia Projects
    2. CS 220 - Computer Architecture

  2. We've changed prerequisites for several of our courses:
    1. For CS 314, add CS 360 or IS 361 as a prerequisite/corequisite
    2. For CS 365, make the prerequisites CS 208 and CS 151

  3. We're no longer offering IS 470. It has been removed from the catalog.
  4. CS 490 is available for 1-6 hours of credit
  5. We've modified the curricula for several of our degrees:
    1. The elective for the Associate of Science degree now must be at the 300-level or above.
    2. MK 453 and CS 322 are now listed as specified electives for the Data Management specialty area.
    3. EC 141 no longer required in the Data Management specialty area.
    4. CS 321 is now in the core curriculum for all ICS specialty areas.
    5. The ICS departmental comprehensive examination is now embedded in the capstone course for each specialty
