The following list specifies the textbooks that are to be used for the courses in
the ICS Department. To ensure uniform course content and uniform assessment
throughout the Park system, the department has chosen one required textbook or one
set of required textbooks for each course.

Office 2010 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) need to be installed on
student's computer for all the Hands-on Projects. Access software
is not required as it is taught in the SimNet Office Simulation lessons.

Windows 7 operating system is recommended (We have not found problems
with people using Vista or Windows XP, but support calls for software on
personal computers should be directed to the hardware or software reseller) **

SimNet software purchased in the textbook list above
** Park University IT does not provide support for Vista at this
time. Students must contact their computer reseller for any problems encountered
with this OS on their
personal
computers. The Simnet Helpdesk is at 1-800-331-5094
**Macintosh users need the latest edition of MS Office and OS for the Mac.
SimNet on a Mac should use Firefox and the latest Mac OS. SimNet
(McGraw-Hill) does not guarantee 100% accessibility on a Mac at this
time. However, many Mac users have not reported any problems using
SimNet on their machines. Park University IT does not support personal
Macintosh computers.
