IS 320 : Object-Oriented Modeling

Course Description

IS320 Object-Oriented Modeling: Object-Oriented modeling is utilized to decompose complex problems into smaller, more manageable components, objects, which can be easily created with object-oriented technologies. Student learners will explore the principles of object-orientation and utilize Unified Modeling Language (UML) to define object, their behaviors, and relationships to other objects. The student learner will investigate approaches to object-oriented development and the relationship to implementation in such technologies as JAVA. 3:0:3 Prerequisite: IS317

Learning Outcomes

  1. Use the basic principles of object-orientation
  2. Identify objects, classes and interfaces within a problem definition
  3. Utilize object-oriented tools to practice key concepts of analysis and design
  4. Identify and define complex relationships that are available for organizing all the objects in the system.
  5. Communicate both orally and in writing as an individual and as a member of a team.
