IS 370 : Information Security

Course Description

IS370 Information Security: This course introduces students to the field of information systems security from both managerial and technical perspectives. The topics to be examined include legal and ethical issues in information systems, risk identification and management, security, planning, security technology, cryptography, and information system implementation and maintenance. 3:0:3. Prerequisite: CS 365.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Discuss and examine information security, information security system, and information security management.
  2. Discuss and examine threats, attacks, risks, risk management, and information security maintenance.
  3. Discuss and examine security systems and technologies.
  4. Discuss and examine information security related topics such as cryptography, legal, ethical, and professional issues.
