Rachel Dryden is immersing herself in the French language at the University of Caen's French for Foreigners program in Caen, Normandy, France during the summer of 2011. Tamera Jenkins, the first winner of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program in Park University's history, will use the award to begin her graduate studies at the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Tamera is a May 2010 graduate of Park University. James Hodges is spending two months interning for the U.S. Department of State at the U.S. Embassy in Skopje, Macedonia. Katelyn Davies is studying in Copenhagen, Denmark, in the summer of 2010 through the Danish Institute for Study Abroad. Dr. Timothy Westcott blogged about his faculty-led study abroad program to Eastern Europe in May of 2010. Dr. Westcott traveled with eight Parkville students and one staff member to the Czech Republic, Germany and Poland. Esther Francis studied in Guanajuato, Mexico, for the 2009-2010 academic year through the University of Guanajuato's intensive Spanish program. Esther was the recipient of a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship sponsored by the U.S. Department of State to help pay for her study abroad experience. Amanda Hays studied in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the summer of 2009 through Central Washington University's University of Belgrano program, part of the College Consortium for International Studies. Jennifer Peterson studied in Guanajuato, Mexico, in the summer of 2009 through the University of Guanajuato's intensive Spanish program. Cayla Waller is studying in Thessaloniki, Greece, in the summer of 2009 through the American College of Thessaloniki. Kaylyn Chappell studied in Tuscania, Italy, in the spring of 2009 through the College of Staten Island/College Consortium for International Studies. Valerie Eckart studied in Thessaloniki, Greece, in the spring of 2009 through the American College of Thessaloniki.
Bethany Guy studied in Copenhagen, Denmark, in the summer of 2008 through the Danish Institute for Study Abroad.
