International Classroom Partnership Program (ICPP)
The International Classroom Partnership Program invites international students to represent their countries with a short presentation for grade school children in classrooms in the North Kansas City School District. ICPP provides elementary school children with insight into the cultures, traditions, languages, geography, and conditions of other countries, while Park University’s international students experience first-hand the everyday setting of American elementary classrooms and culture. This exchange allows the elementary to students to learn the invaluable lessons of tolerance and diversity, while gaining an understanding of cultural geography. The university students presenting enjoy the opportunity to communicate with inquisitive young people and feel proud that they are able to teach the children something new about the world. You can view a sample presentation from this program.
