Study Abroad in Rio de Janeiro, BrazilThe Pontific Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) is one of the top five universities in Brazil. This program is an exceptional opportunity for Park University students to spend a semester or year at this elite institution of higher learning. You can study intensive Portuguese, or choose from a select number of courses offered in English at the university. You can also engage in community service projects with underprivileged children. Courses of study: Portuguese as a second language- offered in three different skill levels (beginner, intermediate I, II, and advanced I, II proficiency levels) In general, the courses taught in English have a content based on Brazilian and Latin American aspect, such as: culture, business, design, civilization and history, among others. Students selecting this option must also take Portuguese language courses. The deadline for the second semester is April 30. Semester costs including tuition and housing start at $8,400. A $200 deposit is due at time of application.
