Study Abroad in Taiwan

Park University invites you to spend a semester or year as an exchange student in Taoyuan, Taiwan, through Ming Chuan University. As an exchange student, you pay Park University tuition, but study at a university overseas. Ming Chuan’s international college offers courses in communications, computer science and international business. You also have the opportunity to study the Mandarin Chinese language.

At Ming Chuan’s international college, courses are taught entirely in English. Students are from Taiwan and all over the world, with very few native English speakers in the courses. In 2009, Ming Chuan is hosting more than 500 international students plus 120 exchange students from all over the world. Faculty in the international college come from England, the U.S. and around the world; all teach in English.

Taoyuan is a city of approximately two million. Living in Taoyuan will give you the opportunity to experience Mandarin language and Taiwanese culture first-hand in a typical Taiwanese city. You will be introduced to the friendly people, delicious food, casual lifestyle and pleasant weather of this sub-tropical island. You will also be able to take advantage of the low cost of living in Taiwan.

The application deadline for study in Fall 2011 is May 31, 2011. For Spring 2012, it is December 1, 2011.

A $200 deposit is due at time of application. Applications should be submitted in Herr House, room 300.
