Park University Library Interlibrary Loan Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat do I do if I need a book or journal article not in the library? Fill out an interlibrary loan form either in person at the library's circulation desk or online at the library's Website. How long will it take to get my item(s)? The items on interlibrary loan may come from various sources, so it might take from 5 to 7 working days to get the information. Will there be a charge involved? The interlibrary loan staff member will call you or e-mail you if there is a charge involved. Usually, there is no charge. How will I know when my item(s) has arrived? When the item arrives, the interlibrary loan staff member will call you, e-mail you, or leave a note in your box. How long will I be able to keep the item(s)? Loan time is usually four weeks, but it varies from library to library. Will I be able to renew the requested item(s)? Some libraries will let you renew the book, but other libraries will not. Contact the interlibrary loan staff member at (816) 584-6283 to check whether you can renew your requested material Where do I pick up my requested item(s)? The book will be checked out to your library account and left at the circulation desk for you to pick up. Requested articles will also be left at the circulation desk. If you are a distance education student, the item/s will be sent to the indicated mailing address. How many books and bound periodicals does Park University Library have in its collection?
