Park University has appointed William F. (Bill) Lawson as director of academic expansion strategy. He is responsible for Park’s academic expansion efforts, including collaborating with the University’s 42 campus centers across the country and its ambassadors nationwide.
“Lawson’s military experience, and organizational and interpersonal skills are top-rate,” said Park University President David Fowler. “I look forward to him building relationships and securing future partnerships with educational and corporate entities around the country.”
Prior to joining Park University, Lawson served as the Midwest regional director at Business Executives for National Security, an organization that supports the U.S. government by applying best business practice solutions to its most difficult national security problems. In addition, Lawson serves as a special adviser for the Missouri Office of Homeland Security and chair of the Missouri Public Private Partnership Committee.
Lawson is a seasoned business professional with extensive knowledge and experience in strategic development, homeland security, emergency management and military affairs. He earned a master’s degree in operations research/systems analysis with an emphasis in statistics and probability from Western Michigan University, and he has a bachelor’s degree in organic chemistry from Missouri State University. In addition, Lawson is a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army.
