Park University announces that William “Will” London has been appointed director of campus safety. London began his duties at Park on Sept. 6.
In his role as director of campus safety, London oversees a staff of 14 campus safety officers and the manager of environmental health and safety on the University’s Parkville Campus. Along with ensuring a safe and secure working and learning environment for Park employees and students, London is responsible for the development, implementation and improvement of the University’s security, emergency management, environmental health and parking programs.
Before joining Park University, London served in the security office at the Zona Rosa shopping/entertainment complex in Kansas City, Mo., since 2009, including the last four years as security director. Additional applicable experience includes: two years as a security officer for Truman Medical Centers in Kansas City, Mo.; 11 years as a security desk sergeant, installation patrol leader and flight sergeant in the U.S. Air Force at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska (now Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson), Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, Clear Air Force Station, Alaska, and Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia; and four-plus years as a nuclear missile dispatcher and security team leader at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont.
London is a graduate of the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy at Malmstrom AFB. Among his numerous military honors include the Air Force Achievement Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.
