Park University is of 28 colleges/universities across the country — and the only school in Missouri or Kansas — selected as a partner with the It’s On Us Campus Innovation Program.
Park and the other 27 institutions have made a commitment to take innovative action steps toward changing the culture around sexual assault on their respective campuses. The Campus Innovation Program is unique in its goal to amplify the work that is already being done by students and administrators across the nation, and to help institutions implement and organize sustainable change.
The program also includes access to the Culture of Respect Collective, a new online platform that allows campus stakeholders from across the country to work together on a framework for effectively addressing sexual violence. All of these schools are committed to upholding and implementing the three pillars of the It’s On Us campaign — support for survivors of sexual violence, bystander intervention and consent education.
It’s On Us is a national campaign aimed at fundamentally shifting the way individuals think and talk about sexual assault. The campaign is a rallying cry inviting everyone to step up and realize the solution begins with us. Launched in September 2014, It’s On Us works to educate, engage and empower students and communities across the country to do something — big or small — to end sexual assault. To date, more than 380,000 people have taken the It’s On Us pledge and students have hosted more than 1,700 It’s On Us events on 534 college/university campuses nationwide.
