Important Notice Regarding Parking on the Parkville Campus for 2013 Parkville Days

Park University is pleased to partner with the City of Parkville, Mo., to provide parking areas for one of Parkville’s biggest festivals, the annual Parkville Days, held this weekend, Friday through Saturday, Aug. 23-25.

Please note that limited parking will be available on the Parkville Campus during the event. At the University’s main (south) entrance, Campus Safety officers will guide guests to park in the Herr House lot, the strip of parking near Park House and the strip of parking between the traffic triangle and McCoy Meetin’ House/Norrington Center. Once these parking areas are full, parking will be closed to the public. However, if you have a Park ID or Park vehicle registration sticker, you will be allowed to proceed to park in other areas of the campus.

Because of residential student parking needs, barricades will be set up at the 6th Street (west) entrance to the campus. Again, only those with a Park ID or Park vehicle registration sticker will be allowed to pass through.

This year’s Parkville Days, with the theme of “Rockin’ on the River!” will provide a wide variety of family entertainment, including arts, crafts, food and specialty booths, music, a carnival, a parade and a bird show. In addition, downtown Parkville shops and restaurants will be holding sales and special promotions.

For a complete schedule, visit www.parkvillemo.org/parkvilledays.html. Any questions about parking on the Parkville Campus for the festival should be referred to the Department of Campus Safety at (816) 584-6444.
