Government and Foundation Funding: IRIS

The Illinois Researcher Information Service (IRIS) allows access to the IRIS Funding Opportunities Database which is updated daily and contains over 16,000 funding opportunities in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities.  The site is maintained by the University of Illinois Library at Urbana-Champaign.

  • The IRIS Upcoming Deadlines - Six months' of upcoming deadlines in 25 subject areas are divided into one group for all academic levels and the other group for graduate students and undergraduates.
  • The IRIS Funding Alert Service - Individuals create a customized search profile that is used to locate upcoming funding opportunities and can be sent to them via e-mail.
  • The IRIS Expertise Service - Enables faculty members to create detailed electronic CVs ("biosketches") and post them to the Web for review by potential researchers or funders.
 

Federal Government Funding: Grants.gov

As of November 7, 2005, the Office of Federal Financial Management requires all Federal agencies to post all grant opportunities online at www.grants.gov.  This is the clearinghouse for all federal grant-making agencies and can be searched by agency, category, or advanced searched by keywords. Grants.gov allows organizations to electronically find and apply for competitive grant opportunities from all Federal grant-making agencies.

Government and Foundation Funding: The Grant Advisor

The Grant Advisor is a subscription funding information source.  The database is searchable and lists funding by federal and private agencies and foundations.

***The Grant Advisor is only searchable using a

       Park University on-campus computer.

Grants.Net searches by academic discipline, application type, date, eligibility, text and more. Search all open funding opportunities in the Funding Opportunities database. The database is continually updated using announcements and news reports from a wide range of sponsors.
