Emergency Notification to Students

If you need to get in contact immediately with your son or daughter during the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, you can call Enrollment Services at (877) 505-1059. They will get contact information on the Park University student you’re attempting to contact, the reason for the emergency, and your contact information. Campus Safety staff will then pass the message on to your student. If the emergency arises between 6:00 pm and 8:00 am or on a weekend, please call the Campus Safety at (816) 584-6444. If you know the Park ID number of your student - that will quicken the process. The Dispatcher in Campus Safety is available 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Emergency Broadcast Messages on Campus:
Any time there is an emergency on the Parkville Campus or at a campus center, staff in University Communications and Marketing will authorize an Emergency Broadcast Alert in three ways:
  • On the Park University web site, www.park.edu
  • Via a Pirate Mail (e-mail) “campus alert”
  • Via a text message alert sent to the cell phones of students who have signed up to receive Park University text alerts.

If your son/daughter has not yet registered to get these text messages, please encourage them to follow the listed procedures for Park Alerts. Park University does not charge for this service, but please check with your cell phone service provider regarding your plan’s text messaging fees.
