Transfer from Metropolitan Community College - 2009-2010

Students transferring to Park University from any one of the Metropolitan Community College District colleges with an Associate degree (excluding AAS) can expect junior standing and acceptance of a minimum 60 credits. No more than 75 credits will be accepted from all two-year college sources. To assure completion of Park's university-wide graduation requirements, the following coursework should be included in the Associate Degree.

Two semesters of same language (8 hours) 2 semesters German, French, Spanish OR Russian
Science with lab Lab class from BIOL, CHEM, PHSC, PHYS, OR GEOL

For students transferring to Park with an Associates of Arts of Science degree, the general education required curriculum will be complete provided the student has successfully completed the following with a "C" or better:

  • 6 cr. in the Division of Humanities
  • 6 cr. in the Division of Natural Sciences
  • 6 cr. in the Division of Social Sciences
Courses within the Associates degree carrying a "D" grade will be accepted as electives only and will not be accepted as satisfying any Park University requirement including the coursework needed to fulfill the general education component. For students transferring to Park without an Associates degree or with an Associate of Applied Science, the general education required curriculum can be met as follows provided each course carries a "C" or better.

GENERAL EDUCATION (GE) (27 hours)
At least nine credits in each of the three academic divisions. Each general education course must be from a different discipline. One introductory General Education course from the student's major discipline may be counted toward the 27 hours.
