Residence Life

Meet the Staff

Karie SchaeferKarie Schaefer
Acting Director of Residence Life and Resident Director of Copley Quad

My name is Karie Schaefer and  I am proud to be a Park Pirate for life.  As the RLC I am here to help you with a variety of housing concerns and questions ranging from applying for housing through ensuring an amazing campus life experience.  I hold a B.A. in Communication Arts with an emphasis in Photojournalism and an M.A. in Communication and Leadership.  While I still enjoy photography as a hobby; my current career path has steered me toward focusing on ResLife and Higher Education.   I am passionate about creating an environment for students to learn and interact outside of the classroom and there is no better way to build that relationship then to be a part of it myself.  The best part of the Park University campus community is the family bond that is established almost instantly after stepping foot onto campus.  It definitely becomes a home away from home.  I am a huge people person and enjoy spending free time with my family and friends.  I also enjoy baking, fitness and exploring the great outdoors.  Be sure to make the most of any opportunity given to you because you never know where it might lead you.
