School of Business and Management

The aim of Park's Business Administration program is to prepare students for positions in industry and other organizations. The program is designed to provide a broad view early in a student's professional development and then help students develop specific skills and knowledge in advanced courses.

Park's business faculty members have both real world and teaching experience. That helps students learn about the actual workings of the business sector. Instructors are committed to excellence in teaching, and they encourage students to succeed in business courses and their other classes at Park.

The major helps develop the knowledge and skills desired by a wide range of employers. Park's Business Administration major can also provide an excellent background for managing a family business. Graduates typically find employment in a variety of business roles, including production management, personnel management, marketing management, and financial management. Graduates also serve their communities as marketing or management specialists in insurance, real estate, investments, banking, communications, manufacturing, retailing and wholesaling.

Others use their business administration degrees to pursue graduate study in management and other business specialty areas.

Who Should Major In Business Administration?

Students with analytical, organizational, math and people skills will find majoring in business administration worthwhile. The program explores a variety of areas, economics, organizational behavior, accounting, marketing--opportunities where students can polish their business skills.

High School Preparation

Students interested in Park's Business Administration program are encouraged to do well in all their high school subject areas, especially math, economics, computer science, business, writing and communication.
