The following is a complete List of Scholarships & Grants Available to Admitted Students at Park University. However, some restrictions may apply depending on your Campus Location. Use the Links provided to display availability and further details within your Field of Study. Please take note that Scholarships are limited and competitive and are not automatically awarded to students who meet the minimum requirements.

** 'Athletic Grants & Scholarships' are issued by Park University's Athletic Department to those students meeting the athletic requirements of that department.

Marlowe Sherwood Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship - $500 For one Park College/University alumni or a student closely related to alumni. Must have 2.5 cumulative GPA and be making normal academic progress.
Honors Scholarship D one credit hour For selected students participating in the Park University Honors Program.
Air Force Aid Society X $2,000 For Dependents of active members of the Air Force. Contact Air Force Aid Society at 800-429-9475.
Art Performance Grant D Varies Awarded by Department
Marguerite Ross Barnett Scolarship X $1,840 Must be part-time enrolled and employed a minimum of 20 hours a week. April 1st deadline. Missouri Resident
Bright Flight Scholarship Program X $2,000 Must be a high school senior too apply. Must be full-time enrolled and a Missouri resident and rank in top 3% ACT or SAT.
Military Enlisted Spouses' Club X Varies For Military Dependents - For more information contact the Enlisted Spouses Club at your military installation.
F.M. Farber Memorial Scholarship - $750 Student must be a social or human services major or be planning a religious vocation. Preference will be given to students who are junior or senior.
Sergeant Major Stan Hillery (Ret.) Memorial Scholarship - $1000 To be divided between two students each year ($500) per student). Must be degree seeking from Park University at Camp Pendleton campus.
Harrison Metheny Family Scholarship - Varies Ethel M. Metheny established this scholarship in memory of her father and to honor their family. Recipients must be full-time junior or senior with a 2.75 GPA. Student must be involved in Park University activities.
Lora Margaret and Thomas Amherst Perry Scholarship - Varies Student must be full-time, in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need. Student must demonstrate self-reliance, self-discipline and good working habits in the work study program. Student must be at least partially self-supporting.
Military Family Scholarship X Up to 15 hours Tuition Dependent of Military Member and given only to students on military campuses. Only for students admitted in last year.
Navy-Marine Travers Scholarship X $2,000 For Dependents of active or retired members of the Navy or Marine Corp. Contact Navy-Marine Corp. Relief Society. 703-696-4960.
Officers' Spouses Club Scholarship X $500 to $1,000 For Military Dependents - For more information contact the Officers' Spouses Club at your military installation.
Pioneer Services Scholarship - Varies For spouses of active-duty military members. To be eligible, the applicant or the military member must be a client of Pioneer Financial Services. Award is based upon need, up to a maximum of $4,000 per year.
Park Hill School District Scholarship X $1,000 Seniors attending the Park Hill High School District who demonstrated academic ability and perseverance while completing H.S. course work. Contact P.H. School District Ed. Foundation.
Dr. John Patton Scholarship - $2,500 To Promote Study Abroad. Must have 3.6 GPA or greater and must complete two semesters at Park after their study abroad or graduate from Park if they are seniors at the time they study abroad. Student may receive up to 50% of the cost of their study program.
Peace Studies Scholarship X One Class/Semester Offered by PeaceWorks in Kansas City. Criteria is as follows: Is a Peace Studies minor candidate with an overall 2.50 GPA; Willing to take part in a peace & justice project mutually agreed upon with P.W.; Has Financial Need as demonstrated by the FAFSA application and demonstrates a genuine interest in the peace & justice movement.
Park University Presbyterian Grant X Varies Students making application should request the Pastor, Clerk of Session or Director of Christian Ed. from their church write a letter of recommendation for use in applying for the grant. Has Financial Need as demonstrated by the FAFSA application.
Verna Griffin-Richardson Internship - $2,000 Verna Griffin-Richardson is still active in the Washington D.C. area. Students must be political Science, Public Administration or Legal Studies major with a 3.25 GPA in major courses and 3.0 overall GPA. Student must have a minimum of 75 hours and must have recommendation of faculty in major.
Senior Citizen Discount X 10% of Tuition Senior Citizens May Audit Park University Classes Free. Available for Parkville Daytime Classes Only.
Theater Grant D Varies Awarded By Theater Department. Student with a minor in theater and active in the production
UPS Foundation Scholarship X $3,500 For an Outstanding student involved in extra activities
Veteran's Administration Benefits X Varies Students who establish eligibility may enroll at Park with assistance from Veterans Administration Benefits, Disabled Veteran Benefits and War Orphan Benefits.

Housing Scholarship A $2,000 per year Based on ACT/SAT for Freshman year, Based on cumulative GPA for Sophmore year (two years only).
Home School Scholarship A 50% Tuition Recipients receive up to 50% of tuition. Must maintain 3.25 GPA.
A+ Scholarship A 50% Tuition Recipients receive up to 50% of tuition. Must maintain 3.25 GPA.
Hundley-Volker Scholarship (PDF) A 25% Tuition Recipients receive up to 25% of tuition. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA
Presidential Scholarship A 50% Tuition Recipients receive up to 50% of tuition. Must maintain a 3.25 GPA. Awarded prior to admission.
Park/McAfee Scholarship Competition (PDF) A 100% Tuition + R&B Honor Scholarships for up to four students receiving 100% tuition plus room and Board. Must maintain 3.75 GPA
Trustee Scholarship (PDF) A 100% Tuition Recipients receive up to 100% of tuition. Must maintain 3.50 GPA

Art, Music, Theatre Code Award Comments/Other Criteria
Rose Ann Carr Milsap Music Scholarship - $770 This Award is for one student with a major or minor in music. Recipient must be involved in vocal music and in good academic standing.
Frank and Mary Markward Theater Scholarship - $1,250 This award will be made annually to a student pursuing a minor in theater arts. Students must be a junior or senior, demonstrate leadership capabilities though the quality participation in theater productions and maintain a 3.00 GPA.

Dr. Donald J. Breckon Scholarship - $1,500 An International Student with: Eligibility and interest to complete a graduate degree at Park University. First Priority given to a BA degree recipient from Park University. Second priority given to an individual nominated by the Community Church of Christ, the Presbyterian Church, or an Organization committed to improving International relations and/or conditions. Must be willing to return to their countries of origin immediately after graduating.
David Mack Knight Business Administration Scholarship - $500 Students must be majoring in Business Administration having completed at least two semesters with a 3.00 GPA or higher and demonstrate participation in Park extracurricular activities with evidence of leadership talent. Students with financial need will be given additional consideration.
Mary Louise Snyder Tipton Scholarship - $544 Student Must be English, Economics, Business, or Communications/Journalism major with a 3.0 GPA. Student must live on-campus.

Edward Jones Outstanding Business Related Scholarship - $1,150 The candidate should be an outstanding student majoring in a business-related field of study. Must be involved in campus activities and achievements reflecting why they were chosen.
James J. Lennon Memorial Scholarship - $1,000 In Memory of James J. Lennon to assist undergraduate Economic or Business Administration program majors in earning their higher education degree. Can be Part or Full-Time, maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher and have a family military background. Must submit a letter of application describing financial need, professional and community leadership experience, and professional goals. Available only on our military campuses.

Mary Louise Snyder Tipton Scholarship - $544 Student Must be English, Economics, Business, or Communications/Journalism major with a 3.0 GPA. Student must live on-campus.

Kathryn Houghton Groves Scholarship - $1,000 Student must be a mathematics or English major and have a 3.35 GPA in major courses and maintain a 3.00 overall GPA. Must be active in campus activities or organizations. The scholarship will be awarded to one student each calendar year.
Fred R. Kenower Scholarship - $2,000 Students must live on-campus and have completed two semesters. Students must also major in English, Science, or Business, maintain a 3.00 GPA, be active in extracurricular activities, show leadership abilities, and intend to graduate from Park.

Pat Hutchens McClelland Endowed Scholarship - varies for students pursuing and undergraduate degree in elementary or secondary education. Must have a 3.0 in education courses and demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to applicants that plan to teach in urban school districts and who are from ethnic or racial backgrounds that is typically underrepresented in higher education.
Citigroup Outstanding Teacher Scholarship - $3,125 The recipient of this scholarship will be required to go into teaching in a public school in Missouri upon graduation. They will be called upon to accompany Park University Officials to yearly events hosted by the Governor of Missouri on education.

Citigroup Foundation Early Childhood Education Scholarship - $2,250 The applicant must be degree-seeking in Child and Family Studies or Early Childhood Education with certification (birth - grade 3). Must have financial need and must commit to remaining in the field of early childhood care and education.
William and Anna Finch Graduate Education Scholarship - $500 Recipient must have two years classroom teaching experience. Continuously enrolled full-time in Park's Master of Education program. Preference given to those educators re-entering the teaching profession.
Duncan M. Findlay Scholarship Program - $1,800 Duncan Findlay was a Professor of Biology at Park and this scholarship is given by his family in his name. Student must be planning to become a teacher, non-traditional students having the highest consideration. Must maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA and preferably be a Jr. or Sr..
Anna Louise Latimer Education Scholarship - $500 Students must be an Education major (sophomore or higher) and maintain a 3.00 GPA. Preference will be given to those returning to college to enter the teacher profession. Student must also submit a letter of application describing financial need, professional goals and involvement in the community along with letters of recommendation form two professors.
Malan/Templeton Scholarship - $725 Students must have a grade point average of 3.00, and be preparing for a vocation of teaching, medicine or religion. Be a Junior or Senior and demonstrate Financial Need.
Nickie and Don Martin Scholarship - $1,000 Must have least two years of experience as a classroom teacher. Continuously enrolled full-time in Park's Master of Education Program or Master of Special Needs Education. Preference given to those involved with Special Needs Education. Employed in a school that serves students who are educationally at-risk. Maintain a 3.75 GPA while enrolled with no grade below B.
Elmer and Kathryn Martin and Angelo Patri Early Childhood Education Scholarship - Varies Must be an Early Childhood educator working on a master's degree. Must have a 3.0 GPA and have Financial Need.
Mary Lucille Rowe Early Childhood Education Scholarship - $1,000 Major in Early Childhood Education with a 3.0 GPA with a minimum load of 24 hours per academic year.

Teach Grant (federal) X $4,000 per year for students that will teach in a subject shortage area. Must be U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen and meet certain academic requirements. Recipients must sign an agreement. For those that do not teach, this grant will covert to a loan.
Urban Flight and Rural Needs Scholarship Program (state) X tuition and fees Must be U.S. citizens and Missouri residents, must have 2.5, awarded for a maximum of 4 years, must teach is a Missouri school designated as a shortage area or converts to a loan.
Missouri Teacher Education Scholarship X $2,000 Missouri Resident, Top 15% of class or Top 15% ACT/SAT

Michael E. Johnson Memorial Scholarship - $700 For a full time History or Education major, must have served in the military and received an honorable discharge, requires an essay.

Nicholas Manchion English Scholarship - $500 Students must be a declared English major (sophomore status) enrolled full time with a 3.00 GPA. Student must also submit an original poem to be judged by the English Department. March 1 Deadline.
Oleva Morrison Myers Endowed Scholarship - $500 O. M. Myers, a 1932 graduate of Park College. The student must be a full-time junior or senior history major in good academic standing. Student must also be involved in student activities or student government.
The Scheib Family Endowed Scholarship - $500 Student must be a science or communications major with a 3.25 GPA in major courses and a 3.0 overall GPA. Student must have a minimum of 75 hours and have recommendation from faculty in major.

Grants That Require Financial Need Code Award Comments/Other Criteria
Federal Pell Grant X $400 - $4,000 A Federal grant for undergraduate students based on the student's financial need. Pell grants are awarded by the school's financial aid office, and provide up to $4,000 per year. A student's need is determined as a result of their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Smart Grant (state) X up to $4,000 per year for up to two years For junior and senior students that are majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Math, Computer Science. Must have 3.0, be U.S. citizen, full time, Pell Grant eligible.
Academic Competiveness Grant (state) X up to $750 (freshmen) or up to $1,300 (sophomores) For freshmen and sophomore students that completed a rigorous course of study in high school. Must be U.S. citizen, full time, Pell Grant eligible.
Pennsylvania State Grant X Varies Awarded to Pennsylvania Residents that meet Requirements Indicated by Federal Student Aid Report (SAR).
Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (SEOG) X $200-$1,500 Awarded to those students determined to have financial need Indicated by Students Federal Student Aid Report (SAR).
Missouri Access Student Financial Assistance Program (MO Grant Program) X $1,500 Awarded to Missouri Residents that meet Requirements Indicated by Federal Student Aid Report (SAR).
Vermont State Grant X Varies Awarded to Vermont Residents that meet Requirements Indicated by Federal Student Aid Report (SAR).
Vocational Rehabilitation X Varies Assists individuals with disabilities who are pursuing meaningful careers. Job Re-Training

Moser-Schaible Textbook Scholarship - $250 For International Students from developing countries to help purchase books.
Evelyn Lare Smith Scholarship - varies For one female chemistry major, 2.5 cum gpa, 3.0 in sciences classes.
Aventis Outstanding Medical Student Scholarship - $1,000 The Student must be enrolled in a Medical-related field such as: pre-med, nursing, hospital admin., medical technology radiology, health education, sports medicine. Special consideration given to minority students in their Junior or Senior year.

Kansas City Hispanic Scholarship and Matching Grant - Matching Funds Park will match up to $500 per year for each Greater Kansas City Hispanic Scholarship recipient. Limited to 20 applicants at Park University.
Ana Riojas Memorial Scholarship - Amount Varies Recipient must be of Hispanic origin, minimum 2.5 cum gpa and demonstrate financial need.
Mary L. Parker Scholarship - Varies Established by Mary L Parker to benefit women, particularly single parent women, wishing to complete their education. Must be a woman, 25 years of age or older and a mother of child(ren) of whom she has custody and who is/are living in her home. Must also hold and maintain a full-time job, maintain a 3.00 GPA, and enrolled at least part-time. Preference given to single parent but will not lose the scholarship upon marriage.
Parkville Rotary Club Scholarship - $1,000 Must be full-time undergraduate International Student. Must be in his/her 2nd or subsequent year at Park. Must have achieved a 3.0 GPA during the previous academic year and must demonstrate financial need.
CBS Foundation Scholarship X $2,500 Awarded to minority students working for a career in broadcasting.

Ralph Lusk Scholarship - Varies For Biology majors. Information regarding this Scholarship can be obtained by the Scholarship Coordinator here at Park University.
Dr. William Pivonka Science Scholarship - amount varies For a junior or senior declared science major with financial need, demonstrating academic excellence, must write essay.
Evelyn Lare Smith Scholarship - amount varies For one female chemistry major, 2.5 cum gpa, 3.0 in sciences classes.
Aventis Outstanding Medical Student Scholarship - $1,000 The Student must be enrolled in a Medical-related field such as: pre-med, nursing, hospital admin., medical technology radiology, health education, sports medicine. Special consideration given to minority students in their Junior or Senior year.
Lolita Nellans and Guy Wolfe Clardy Natural Science Endowed Scholarship - $1,260 Students must be a junior or senior natural science major with secondary education certification, or professional biology student with interest in environmental or ecology science or veterinary science. Students must also submit a one-page written discussion of environmental issues and maintain a 3.00 GPA.
Marion Tollaksen Fischer Scholarship - Varies For one student majoring in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Dr. John M. Hamilton Scholarship - $700 The recipient of this scholarship must be a science major with a preference given to biology majors, have a 3.00 GPA, and a Parkville campus traditional student taking at least nine (9) credit hours each semester.
William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship X $1,000 Park University has been endowed by the Hearst foundation to provide Scholarships to our qualifying nursing students. Contact our Scholarship Coordinator here at Park University for further information.
Fred R. Kenower Scholarship - $2,000 Students must live on-campus and have completed two semesters. Students must also major in English, Science, or Business, maintain a 3.00 GPA, be active in extracurricular activities, show leadership abilities, and intend to graduate from Park.
Dr. Kenneth MacDonald Endowed Scholarship - $540 Students must be full-time, pre-medicine or science major with a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Student must demonstrate self reliance, self-discipline and good work habits. This scholarship is renewable.
Ray L. Edwards Scholarship - $600 Must be a science major with a 3.0 or better GPA.
Malan/Templeton Scholarship - $725 Students must have a grade point average of 3.00, and be preparing for a vocation of teaching, medicine or religion. Be a Junior or Senior and demonstrate Financial Need.
Sarah B. Osborne Scholarship - Varies Park College graduate, Sarah B. Osborne, '28, established this scholarship. It is to provide scholarships for needy students in their junior or senior years of study, who preferably shall be interested in medical or scientific study.
The Scheib Family Endowed Scholarship - $500 Student must be a science or communications major with a 3.25 GPA in major courses and a 3.0 overall GPA. Student must have a minimum of 75 hours and have recommendation from faculty in major.
Floyd Schafer Ph.D. Memorial Scholarship - $525 The Scholarship is established to benefit upper-classmen (Jr. - Sr.) majoring in botany or biology with a 3.00 GPA

Dr. Donald J. Breckon Scholarship - $1,500 An International Student with: Eligibility and interest to complete a graduate degree at Park University. First Priority given to a BA degree recipient from Park University. Second priority given to an individual nominated by the Community Church of Christ, the Presbyterian Church, or an Organization committed to improving International relations and/or conditions. Must be willing to return to their countries of origin immediately after graduating.
Paul H. Gault/UMB Endowed Leadership Scholarship - Varies For graduate students, first priority is to students in the Masters of Public Affairs. Masters of Education and Masters of Business may also apply. Student that received their undergraduate degree from Park University will have additional consideration.
Goppert Foundation Scholarship - Varies For students demonstrating exceptional financial need
Fred R. Kenower Scholarship - $2,000 Students must live on-campus and have completed two semesters. Students must also major in English, Science, or Business, maintain a 3.00 GPA, be active in extracurricular activities, show leadership abilities, and intend to graduate from Park.
Ida Moore Endowed Scholarship for Social Work - $1000 Number of recipients per year varies. Must be accepted into the BSW program and be in good standing. Must be full time and have a minimum 3.0 cum gpa. Must complete additional scholarship application.
Dr. John R. Sanders Memorial Scholarship - Varies For one Honors Program Student. Requires an additional scholarship application.
Malan/Templeton Scholarship - $725 Students must have a grade point average of 3.00, and be preparing for a vocation of teaching, medicine or religion. Be a Junior or Senior and demonstrate Financial Need.

William and Anna Finch Graduate Education Scholarship - $500 Recipient must have two years classroom teaching experience. Continuously enrolled full-time in Park's Master of Education program. Preference given to those educators re-entering the teaching profession.

David Mack Knight Business Administration Scholarship - $500 Students must be majoring in Business Administration having completed at least two semesters with a 3.00 GPA or higher and demonstrate participation in Park extracurricular activities with evidence of leadership talent. Students with financial need will be given additional consideration.
Anna Louise Latimer Education Scholarship - $500 Students must be an Education major (sophomore or higher) and maintain a 3.00 GPA. Preference will be given to those returning to college to enter the teacher profession. Student must also submit a letter of application describing financial need, professional goals and involvement in the community along with letters of recommendation form two professors.
James J. Lennon Memorial Scholarship - $1,000 In Memory of James J. Lennon to assist undergraduate Economic or Business Administration program majors in earning their higher education degree. Can be Part or Full-Time, maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher and have a family military background. Must submit a letter of application describing financial need, professional and community leadership experience, and professional goals.Available only on our military campuses.

Nickie and Don Martin Graduate Education Scholarship - $1,000 Must have least two years of experience as a classroom teacher. Continuously enrolled full-time in Park's Master of Education Program or Master of Special Needs Education. Preference given to those involved with Special Needs Education. Employed in a school that serves students who are educationally at-risk. Maintain a 3.75 GPA while enrolled with no grade below B.
Elmer and Kathryn Martin and Angelo Patri Early Childhood Education Scholarship - Varies Must be an Early Childhood educator working on a master's degree. Must have a 3.0 GPA and have Financial Need.
Sarah B. Osborne Science Scholarship - Varies Park College graduate, Sarah B. Osborne, '28, established this scholarship. It is to provide scholarships for needy students in their junior or senior years of study, who preferably shall be interested in medical or scientific study.
Lora Margaret and Thomas Amherst Perry Endowed Tuition Scholarship - Varies Student must be full-time, in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need. Student must demonstrate self-reliance, self-discipline and good working habits in the work study program. Student must be at least partially self-supporting.
Parkville Rotary Club Scholarship - $1,000 Must be full-time undergraduate International Student. Must be in his/her 2nd or subsequent year at Park. Must have achieved a 3.0 GPA during the previous academic year and must demonstrate financial need.

Irvine and NeVada Linscomb Scholarship X 50% of Tuition Recipient must be a graduate of N. Kansas City or Liberty High School, demonstrate financial need, work in the Work Study program, graduate H.S. with a 3.2 GPA, and demonstrate leadership skills and a solid work ethic during high school.
