Recommendations for Staying Sane During the Academic Year

May

Finals and giant projects getting you down?  A few things might help you out:  a good laugh, cathartic dance moves, and a motivational 80’s montage

Hopefully things aren’t too crazy for you to continue maintaining your healthy diet while you wrap up these last few weeks.  Try to refrain from eating a whole package of Oreos while studying for chemistry, and give yourself a break and go take a walk between projects.

Don’t get lost in the details
Keep a sense of the bigger picture beyond the next few weeks.  Think about the relief you’ll experience after completing the last test or that final deadline.  Definitely find a way to celebrate and reward yourself.

Always have a backup!
Whether you are presenting a multi-media PowerPoint or writing a 30-page research paper, store multiple copies in different places.  Email the latest draft to yourself.  That way, when your flash drive gets bent, goes through the laundry, or gets run over by the car, you will have another version saved on your laptop or inbox.
