Emergency Notification to StudentsIf you need to get in contact immediately with your son or daughter during the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, you can call the Student Assistance Center at (816)584-6800. They will get contact information on the Park University student you’re attempting to contact, the reason for the emergency, and your contact information. Public Safety staff will then pass the message on to your student. If the emergency arises between 6:00 pm and 8:00 am or on a weekend, please call the Public Safety Department directly at (816) 584-6444. If you know the Park ID number of your student - that will quicken the process. Emergency Broadcast Messages on Campus:
If your son/daughter has not yet signed up to get these text messages, please encourage them to follow the listed procedures at www.park.edu/studentlife/pirateconnect.pdf. Park University does not charge for this service, but please check with your cell phone service provider regarding your plan’s text messaging fees. In addition, please be aware that if your son/daughter does not have a Sprint cell phone, they may not be able to receive messages when they are in the Park Commons (also known as the Mabee Learning Center), the academic underground area of the Parkville Campus. The McAfee Memorial Library, Park University Bookstore, classrooms and academic departments are located in this area. PirateConnect: --------------------------------- University Resources |
