Membership Cost

The Pirate Fitness Center is located in Labor Hall next to the Breckon Sports Center.

A Park I.D. is required to use the Pirate Fitness Center or Gym.

Lockers and shower facilities are available. Locks and towel service are not provided.

Student membership is included with the Parkville Daytime Campus Center Student Life Fee.  Students that are not classified as Parkville Daytime Students and do not pay the Student Life fee may sign up for a semester membership. Annual memberships are available for faculty and staff. To access the membership agreement form CLICK HERE. Return your completed agreement to the fitness center front desk.

Open Gym - 7 days a week, Time varies.  The half court is available to students and members for open play.  Users may bring their own basketball or use one provided by the facility in exchange for their ID cards.  Organized play will be limited to 20 minutes if there is a wait.  Footwear with non-marking soles only please. Staff

Brian Ciolek- Wellness, Strength, & Conditioning Coordinator

Brian has been in the fitness industry for over five years and recently comes from Life TimeFitness as a master level personal trainer and metabolic technician. He has his MS in Exercise Science with an emphasis in performance enhancement and injury prevention from California University of Pennsylvania. He also attended the University of Central Missouri where he graduated with a BS in Exercise Science with an emphasis in athletic training and 1200 hours of experience with the university’s sport teams. Brian is Strength and Conditioning Coach-Certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. In addition, he has the certifications of Performance Enhancement Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and Speed/Agility/Quickness Specialist from National Exercise and Sports Training Association. Brian has coaching certifications by US Soccer D License, NSCAA, USA Weightlifting, and USA Track and Field. He has been published in Tennis Talk and Fitness Magazine and enjoys the sports of soccer, mountain biking, kayaking, adventure racing and is a multiple marathon/ultra-marathon finisher.  Contact Brian at bciolek@park.edu or 816-584-6463.
