Testing Center

The Park University Testing Center can help you achieve your goals.

The Testing Center is located in MA231 on the Parkville campus (in the academic underground, next to the bookstore). We provide test proctoring for incoming students, current students, and non-Park students who need this service.

Our Services:

Incoming students to Park University may be required to take placement exams. Required tests may include math skills, reading skills, and writing skills. We use the College Success tests, produced by McCann Associates. Students who need to take these tests may wish to prepare by looking at sample questions at https://college.measuredsuccess.com/mscollege/practiceTest2/index.html. Click on the links for math, reading and writing to see sample questions. Note: we do NOT use the test called “Writing MC.”

We give placement tests at the scheduled Get On Board days and by individual appointment. If you need to take placement tests on the Parkville campus, your admissions advisor can help you make an appointment. Ask your admissions advisor how you can take tests before you arrive on campus. Be aware that classes fill quickly, and you need to test before you can enroll. The earlier you take placement tests, the more likely you are to get seats in the classes that best fit your schedule!

Parkville campus students who miss a scheduled exam may be able to schedule the exam with the Testing Center. Your instructor will send your test to the proctor. You will need to schedule an appointment with the proctor for your test using the link for the Testing Center in My Park. Please make your appointment at least one day before your test.

Students who receive testing accommodations for a disability may take their tests in the Testing Center. The office of Disability Services will inform your instructor to send your tests to the proctor, but no information about your disability will be disclosed. The proctor will provide your approved accommodations. You will need to schedule an appointment with the proctor for your test using the link for the Testing Center in My Park. Please make your appointment at least one day before your test.

Tests for college credit: CLEP and DSST

Park University is a registered site for the administration of both CLEP and DSST exams, whether you attend Park or another school. All examinees must present photo ID to test. Be sure you know the site number for the school where your results should be sent.

CLEP exams are subject examinations by which a student can earn college credits. Check with the registrar or ask your advisor for information about what test to take to fulfill requirements for your degree program. You may also want to view the CLEP website at www.collegeboard.com.  All CLEP testing is computer-based, and must be completed in the Testing Center, MA 231. The total cost is $110.00.

There are now TWO steps to register for a CLEP exam:

  1. To take the exam at the Parkville campus, register via the test registration link. Choose your date and time for your exam, and pay the $25.00 non-refundable administration fee online by credit card.
  2. Please complete this step before the day of your test. All CLEP exam payments must be made by test-takers online through the My Account registration portal. This is a portal with CLEP. It is not a Park University site. You will be required to pay the cost of the test ($85). Military students who are eligible for vouchers for test fees will follow the instructions on the website. In My Account, upon completing the registration process each test-taker will print a Registration Ticket that they must present at the test center as proof of payment.  The ticket will include a Ticket ID and a Voucher ID to be used for check-in at the test center.  (Students may also purchase study materials for CLEP on the site).

If you experience challenges with the My Account registration portal, please contact CLEP customer service at 1-800-257-9558.  If you experience challenges with the Park Registration link, you may contact the Testing Center at 816-584-6887.
