The Graduate Certificate in Public Accounting is housed in the School of Business. This certificate is designed to develop skills and knowledge to pass the four parts of the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exam: Auditing, Business Environment and Concepts, Financial Accounting and Reporting, and Regulation. This program is designed for students who have completed an undergraduate accounting degree or its equivalent. (Students who have earned a degree other than in accounting may be required to complete up to 30 hours of foundational accounting course work before beginning the Public Accounting program.)

Careers

The Graduate Certificate in Public Accounting meets eligibility requirements in the State of Missouri. Successful completion will enable students to attain a graduate certificate while accumulating the required 150 credit hours toward the CPA credential and preparing to sit for the CPA exam. Students planning to sit for the CPA exam in other states may need to meet additional requirements.
