Resident Requirements

DO I NEED TO GET VACCINATIONS/IMMUNIZATIONS/SHOTS IF I LIVE ON CAMPUS?

Park University highly recommends that residential students get and provide documentation of vacation dates on your housing application for the following:

  • Tetanus/Toxoid
  • M.M.R. (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Polio*
  • Diphtheria
  • Meningitis
  • Covid-19

Students will be living in close proximity in a community environment – Park believes getting vaccinations is the best way to protect our community.

DO I HAVE TO LIVE ON CAMPUS?

Yes. Park University has a residency requirement for single students under the age of 21.  Students meeting these criteria will have housing charges placed on their student account

What if I live with my parents?

A housing waiver must be submitted to the Office of Residential Life.

A housing waiver may be requested for the following reasons:

  • Student is living with their parents, legal guardians or dependent children within a 50-mile radius of campus OR
  • Student is 21 years old or has completed 58 or more credit hours prior to their first semester of attendance at Park University.

DO I HAVE TO HAVE A MEAL PLAN?

If you are a residential student, you need to choose one of three meal plans. Meals are part of the room-and-board package and cannot be separated out. See Fresh Ideas for meal plan options.

IS THERE A DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO LIVE ON CAMPUS?

A one-time, $150 deposit is required for all on-campus residents.

ARE SINGLE ROOMS AVAILABLE IN THE RESIDENCE HALLS?

Single rooms may be available in limited numbers. Priority is given to upper-division students. An additional charge is required at confirmation each semester.
