Park University’s BSW prepares students for beginning professional practice in a wide variety of social service settings. As generalist social work practitioners, graduates will be prepared to work with diverse populations. The Strengths Perspective and Eco-systems theory serve as overarching conceptual frameworks throughout the curriculum. The BSW program includes both classroom work and two-semester field instruction in a social service agency; is fully accredited; currently only offered face-to-face on the Parkville campus; and requires 122 total credit hours to graduate.
The MSW program is currently completing its last year of “Candidacy” and may be awarded full accreditation through the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) in February, 2016.
The advanced practice concentration is Behavioral Health; with areas of emphasis in Gerontological Social Work, Military Social Work, and Social Work with Children and Families. More
