Mission Statement

The School for Education at Park University, an institution committed to diversity and best practice, prepares educators to be effective school professionals, reflective change agents, and advocates for equity and excellence for all learners.

The School for Education at Park University is to be known as a leader in the preparation of educators who will address the needs, challenges, and possibilities of the twenty-first century.

Policy on Foliotek as SFE Required Text

Effective Fall 2008, all education syllabi will include Foliotek as a required text for teacher education candidates. This requirement will be applicable for students, who were admitted after January 1, 2007.

The Foliotek portfolio system now has a demo for students and faculty.  Go to www.foliotek.com/demo.

Background and Fingerprinting Information

• Fingerprints -- $44.80 (Complete the Missouri Volunteer and Employee Criminal History Service (MoVECHS) Waiver Agreement and Statement and return to the Director of Field Experiences, or the School for Education office, to receive your Applicant Fingerprint Form).

• Child Abuse or Neglect -- no charge (Complete the Request for Child Abuse or Neglect form and return to the School for Education office).
