Park University and Sporting Kansas City
have teamed up to honor those who serve their community and country as part of the club’s season-long “Salute to Troops” military appreciation platform.
The partnership is an effort to raise awareness and appreciation for current and retired members of the U.S. military in the Kansas City area who are fighting for or have fought for the freedom of American citizens. The program provides game tickets in Sporting Park’s “Zone of Courage” section and a VIP experience for the honoree and his/her family. Additionally, those recognized are featured on Sporting KC’s Salute to Troops webpage
“Park University and Sporting Kansas City have a mutual respect for the men and women who represent the U.S. armed forced around the world with honor and valor,” said Park University President David Fowler. “This partnership allows both Park and Sporting KC to provide a small tribute to those who have dedicated their lives to protecting our country’s freedom.”
“Men and women who have gone above and beyond the call of duty have a special place in the heart of both of our organizations. We are thrilled to form this multiyear strategic alignment with Park University to honor such deserving individuals as part of Salute to Troops,” said Jamie Guin, vice president of corporate partnerships for Sporting Kansas City. “Through this partnership, we not only recognize the men and women of the U.S. armed forces at every home game, but also provide memorable experiences for each family member in attendance.”
The Salute to Troops platform is complemented through a year-round integrated public relations and program support asset mix across all of Sporting KC’s marketing mediums, including a dedicated webpage, broadcast PSAs, in-stadium digital signage and digital/social media mentions.
