The Ellen Finley Earhart Department of Nursing at Park University offers program options in Kansas City, including a BSN pre-licensure program option and a RN-to-BSN program option. Park University's BSN program combines the "art and science" of nursing with a foundation in the liberal arts to prepare graduates who will assume the scope of practice expected of the professional nurse. The Nursing pre-licensure program option is designed for the non-nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse who desires a baccalaureate degree in nursing. It is a face-to-face and online program taught in Parkville, Missouri. Enjoy the benefits of one-on-one instruction with small class sizes and a state-of-the-art skills labs only a short drive outside of downtown Kansas City at our main Parkville campus.

Park University's online RN to BSN degree program option allows Registered Nurses to complete the requirements of a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing with Park University. This online program offers flexibility and is perfect for students who wish to complete the program either full-time or on a part-time basis. Students have a maximum of 5 years to complete the program.

Degree Opportunities

Park University's Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program combines the art and science of nursing with a foundation in the liberal arts to prepare graduates who will assume the scope of practice expected of the professional nurse.  The theoretical, laboratory and clinical patient care experiences support learning and exposure to the profession. The BSN pre-licensure program option is designed for the non-nurse or the licensed practical nurse who desires a baccalaureate degree in nursing.

Preparing students for the future of nursing practice, the Park University BSN program requires students to participate in online and face-to-face course formats with extensive online resources. All laboratory, patient care and face-to-face course work are offered at our Parkville campus.


If you've earned an associate degree in nursing and are a licensed registered nurse, you can make full use of those hard-earned credits and complete a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree entirely online. Though Park University's RN-to-BSN program option, you can apply up to 60 credit hours earned through the associate degree program at Park University or another accredited institution toward the BSN degree.  

Clinical requirements can be fulfilled at a time and place that are convenient for you. That means if you live in a small town, rural community or are in the military, you can complete your bachelor's degree without sacrificing your personal and professional obligations.  Students and professors work closely together, tailoring the virtual classroom to each student's specific interests and goals.  Students who have completed the associate degree program at Park University will find the RN-to-BSN a convenient and seamless extension of their studies.
