Art_Leah HagemanApril 29, 2026 — A trio of Park University seniors will showcase their works as part of an exhibit in the University’s Campanella Gallery (located inside Norrington Center on the Parkville Campus), Wednesday, May 6, through Friday, June 26. A reception for the artists will be held on Friday, May 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Gallery. Admission to the Campanella Gallery is free and open to the public.

Students whose art will be featured in the show are: Kierstin Beshears, senior K-12 education/art major, Trimble, Mo. (attended Smithville [Mo.] High School); Leah Hageman, senior fine art major, Kansas City, Mo. (attended Staley High School); and Chloe Schields, senior fine art major, Kansas City, Mo. (attended Park Hill High School).

Beshears’ art features a collection of black and white mediums with a limited color palette, with hints of gold that signifies change and hope in her life. Hageman is presenting acrylic paintings that invoke a sense of surrealism in colorful depictions of spaces, landscapes and nonobjective abstractions. Schields has created elaborate costume designs inspired by cosplay characters.
