The program emphasizes real-world construction management skills needed to oversee residential, commercial, and public infrastructure projects.
An associate degree in construction management can lead to entry-level roles such as construction coordinator, field technician, project assistant, or estimator. These positions offer hands-on experience in project planning, site supervision, and cost tracking, laying a foundation for advancement in the construction industry, such as roles like general contractor or construction manager.
The Associate of Science (A.S.) in Construction Management provides a foundational education in project planning, construction methods, and business principles, making it ideal for entry-level roles or those seeking a fast-track credential. The bachelor’s degree (B.S.) builds on this foundation with advanced coursework in project supervision, legal compliance, and strategic management, preparing students for leadership roles and long-term career growth in the construction industry.
While the A.S. degree itself does not confer licensure, it lays the groundwork for pursuing industry-recognized credentials such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or LEED Green Associate. Students gain exposure to construction documentation, safety standards, and project coordination, which align with the competencies required for certification exams and professional advancement.
