Ed Bradley Passes Away

The following is a letter from Park University President Greg Gunderson, Ph.D.

Ed BradleyWith deep sadness, I share the following news: Ed Bradley passed away on Friday, Feb. 2. He was 72.

Ed enjoyed many years in the banking industry, most recently with BankLiberty, and he was a well-respected and engaged member of the community. Ed brought his financial expertise to Park as a founding member of Park’s School of Business Advisory Council. His invaluable advice and experienced leadership helped the School of Business secure accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. In addition, Ed served as co-chair of the Business School Capital Campaign Committee.

Ed was inducted as an honorary member of Park’s Mu Chi Chapter of Delta Mu Delta, an international honor society for accredited business programs. In 2015, he received Park’s Torchlighter Award, given to honor individuals who have made significant, longstanding contributions and commitment to our University. As one of Park’s staunchest athletics supporters, Ed could often be found in the stands at Breckon Sports Center, cheering on the Pirates.

Parkville, the Northland and the whole community have lost a giant — and Park University has lost a beloved and respected member of the family. Because of his impact, we will work to ensure that his wisdom and legacy live on.

Ed’s family has chosen to hold his visitation and celebration of life services on Park’s Parkville (Mo.) Campus, and we are honored to host them. Let us all continue to keep them in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
