Park University Coronavirus Update — March 3, 2020

The below is an e-mail sent by Park University President Greg Gunderson, Ph.D., on March 3, 2020. Updates will be provided as necessary.

As communities around the world remain on alert concerning Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), Park University is undertaking an ongoing review of its Pandemic Response Plan in the event of a widespread outbreak of the disease.

We are monitoring credible sources such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) for updates and will share pertinent news, as necessary. We are also prepared to work with local health departments if cases arise in communities where Campus Centers are located.

In the meantime, please be diligent concerning your health. The WHO recommends the following as basic protective measures against COVID-19:
          •  Wash your hands frequently
          •  Maintain social distancing
          •  Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
          •  Practice good respiratory hygiene
          •  If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early
          •  Stay informed and follow the advice of your healthcare provider
