Announcement from the Sue Shear Institute for Women in Public Life

Have you wondered how you might join a public policy board that overlaps with your area of expertise? Have you wanted to make a difference in your community but didn't know how? The Sue Shear Institute for Women in Public Life is a Missouri-based organization that encourages women to participate fully in the public policy process in appointed and elected office as well as working in government. One of the ways they fulfill this mission is to maintain a database that matches women with specific passions and expertise with openings on governmental commissions. Service on a public board is an excellent way to achieve civic engagement for the university community. If you are interested in an appointment to a public board, please visit the Sue Shear Institute Talent Bank at http://www.umsl.edu/~iwpl/.
