At Park University, our Disaster and Emergency Management Graduate Certificate program is designed to prepare students for careers in fields such as government, emergency management and private-sector disaster response.
You will learn to plan for and mitigate an array of hazardous events, as well as engage in public policy issues surrounding these events. The public’s continued concern for efficient governmental response to natural and man-made disasters, along with significant investment in emergency management activities, requires knowledgeable public managers, including managers transitioning from other areas of expertise.

As you pursue this graduate certificate, you will learn principles of disaster and emergency management and response, continuity of operations in both public and private sectors, critical infrastructure and key resources, as well as theoretical principles of terrorism.
