Park Assisting Coast Guard Students

Kirby R. Brown, who recently retired after 40 years of military and federal service, has been appointed as the dean of Park University’s College of Management. Brown starts in his new role at Park on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019.

Missouri Humanities Council Grant

Park University has received a $2,500 grant from the Missouri Humanities Council in support of the University’s Spencer Cave Black History Month Lecture Series.

Kansas City Area Graduates December 2018

Park University held its December 2018 Kansas City Area Commencement ceremony on Dec. 8 at the Community of Christ Auditorium in Independence, Mo. The University had 433 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — 174 students received a master’s degree and/or a graduate certificate, and 259 students received a bachelor’s degree, associate degree and/or undergraduate certificate. Ron Blumkin, chairman of Nebraska Furniture Mart, presented the keynote address.

Park University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
