Interdisciplinary Studies

Make connections across fields of study and connect what you learn to your academic, professional, and civic life.

The Interdisciplinary Studies program is a way for you to custom-design your own degree by combining two different minors from two distinct schools or departments. One of them can be a Personal Minor, which you construct from a set of courses that represent a body of knowledge.

Program Highlights

Design your own degree

As an Interdisciplinary Studies major, you’ll engage in integrative and interdisciplinary thinking. You’ll consider problems from several different perspectives, examining each subject in its own context as well as its relationship to the issues, questions, and positions of the other discipline(s) you study.

Interdisciplinary Studies students take Park University’s Liberal Education core while specializing in their minor courses of study. In your final year, you’ll complete an advanced interdisciplinary research project or other senior project.

As an Interdisciplinary Studies major, you have the advantage of choosing classes taught by distinguished faculty from across schools and departments at Park University.
