John Dean
Associate Professor, Computer Science
Science Hall, Room 203
(816) 584-6422

John Dean has been a Computer Science teacher at Park for a while now. Previously, he was a programmer at Hallmark, Sprint, Yellow Roadway and IISC. Although he misses the "good life" of his industry days, he is glad to be a teacher. Why? Despite the incredibly long hours, low wages, and bureaucratic distractions, being a teacher affords him the opportunity to (1) write programs (ya gotta keep on top of the new stuff), and (2) help students to learn something useful, which is truly rewarding.
