>> Map of Campus and surrounding Parkville area The New Student Orientation for the 2009/2010 Academic Year will be held on the 14-15 of August, 2009. Orientation: Schedule of EventsNew International Students' Orientation. Please check-in at the Office of International Student Services with your I-20 and passport. Herr House, 1st Floor, Rooms 2 & 3. Early Action. Invitation Only! This select group of first time Park students will participate in a day long leadership and service experience prior to the start of orientation activities. Students will benefit from a half day of leadership programming and an afternoon serving in the Kansas City Community. Parents of Early Action Students are invited to participate in a special Parent and Family Orientation.
This day is all about making your college life BETTER! Get to know your freshman seminar professor and your classmates as you work together to tackle challenges for the body and mind. You'll also get an overview of the important services available to you to help you get BETTER grades, a BETTER job, and a BETTER college experience! This event is a mandatory LS100 course requirement. Meet and Eat Barbecue An all student event that brings together the entire campus community for food and fun. Come enjoy live music homemade goodies under the tent while you mingle with new and current students. Come early to get a free t-shirt! Presented by International Student Services and Student Life.
The second half brings the new class together for more fun. The keynote speaker will challenge you to think beyond your first year and how you can make your life and the lives of those around you BETTER now AND after you graduate. You will also learn more about the history of Park University as a member of the global society and how the different cultures of over 100 countries come together to form ONE university. This event is a mandatory LS100 course requirement.
