New Student Orientation and Welcome Week
New Student Orientation is a required event only for First Time Students who are enrolled in LS100 course! New Student Orientation, Day 1 Friday, August 14th, 9:30 am - 5 pm
This day is all about making your college life ROCK! Get to know your freshman seminar professor and your classmates as you work together as a team to tackle challenges for the body and mind. You'll get an overview of everything available to you at Park to help you have a ROCKING college experience! This event is an LS100 course requirement. Meet and Eat Barbecue: Friday, August 14th, 6 pm. Come enjoy live music and homemade goodies under the tent. Arrive early to get a free t-shirt! Presented by International Student Services and Student Life. New Student Orientation, Day 2 Saturday, August 15th, 10 am - 3 pm Day two will provide critical information to help you succeed in your first year of college!. Our speaker brings you an upbeat, highly motivational session created especially for first year students. You will learn why you MUST form meaningful friendships and relationships, how to protect yourself financially and prepare for the academic challenge at the college level. The afternoon empowerment programs will provide knowledge you can use to ensure your well being, engage with others and how different cultures of over 100 countries come together to form ONE university. Lunch will be provided for all registered attendees. This event is an LS100 course requirement.
Other Important Dates: New International Students' Orientation, August 10th-13th: Please check-in at the Office of International Student Services with your I-20 and passport. Herr House, 1st Floor, Rooms 2 & 3. Move-in Day, Thursday, August 13th: Residence Halls open at 10 am. Check out our campus housing webpage for more information www.park.edu/campushousing.
