Emily Donnelli-Sallee is currently serving as Associate Provost in the Department of Academic Affairs. Dr. Donnelli-Sallee holds a Ph.D. in rhetoric and composition from the University of Kansas. In addition to teaching, assessing comprehensive exams, and serving on thesis committees in the Master of Arts in Communication and Leadership program, she is an associate professor in the Department of English and Modern Languages. At the undergraduate level, she teaches courses in the theory and teaching of writing, business communications, and the history of rhetoric. She joined Park in 2004.
Dr. Donnelli-Sallee has presented her research on the discursive practices of public spheres at variety of conferences including the Conference on College Composition and Communication, the International Association for Research on Service Learning and Community Engagement Conference, and the National Communication Association Conference. Her work on civic engagement in higher education and faculty development has been published in, among other venues, the Journal of Faculty Development and To Improve the Academy.
Dr. Donnelli-Sallee is the recipient of the Excellence in Community Based Teaching and Scholarship award from Missouri Campus Compact, the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Higher Education award, and the Park University Distinguished Faculty Scholar award.
