Park University selected Greg Gunderson, Ph.D., to become the school’s 17th president, effective Jan. 15, coinciding with the first week of the University’s Spring 2016 semester.
“Dr. Gunderson’s experience and thought leadership with the challenges and opportunities in higher education, along with his enthusiasm to create an environment of achievement for students, faculty, staff and alumni, positioned him well to be our next president,” said Michael Collins, chair of Park University’s Board of Trustees and a 2004 Park graduate.
In addition to Gunderson’s appointment as president, Park University also added a new provost and chief information officer to its executive team. Douglas Fiore, Ph.D., who was appointed provost and vice president for academic affairs, will begin his duties at Park on Monday, Feb. 1.
