Park Alerts

park alert logo

ParkAlert is a mass notification system that can alert Park University students, faculty, staff and parents, as well as the general public, with time-sensitive messages via texts, voice, e-mail and social media. ParkAlert will be used to only notify the University community with emergency messages and/or weather-related alerts and updates — it will not be used for advertising or other unsolicited content.

ParkAlert is designed to allow participants to choose the Park University campus center they attend (or is in their area) and receive messages related only to that specific campus center. Powered by Omnilert Network e2Campus, ParkAlert adds another immediate notification mechanism to the University’s existing methods for alerts.

WHY REGISTER?

There are many reasons to sign up to receive messages from ParkAlert. The first, and most important, is to ensure you receive urgent and/or weather-related messages related to your campus. Park University’s Office of Communication or the Office of Campus Safety will use ParkAlert to quickly relay messages to subscribers that will contain important information during critical incidents occurring on or near campus, or provide information such as a weather-related delay or closing. The service will not be used to send non-emergency information. In addition, ParkAlert enrollment provides multiple ways for messages to come to you. This is helpful when you don’t have access to one system or another.

Participation in ParkAlert is voluntary. You must register for the service in order to receive alerts. Since this is a voluntary service, you may choose to opt-in or opt-out of the service at any time. Park University does not charge for the service, but note that you are responsible for any charges incurred from your wireless service provider.

You can register for any or all of these options. Our recommendation is to register for all services.
