Homecoming Weekend 2019

Park University alumni, family and friends from across the country will converge on the University’s Parkville Campus for Homecoming and Family Weekend 2019. Events begin on Thursday, Sept. 19 (which is also International Talk Like a Pirate Day), and continue through Saturday, Sept. 21.

Hauptmann Lecture 2019

A presentation on “Can America Still Have a Successful Foreign Policy?” will be the focus of Park University’s 27th annual Dr. Jerzy Hauptmann Distinguished Guest Lecture Series event on Thursday, Sept. 12. This year’s lecture will be held in the Jenkin and Barbara David Theater within Alumni Hall on the University’s Parkville Campus starting at 6:30 p.m.

Gilbert Campus Expansion

Park University is expanding its Gilbert (Ariz.) Campus space at the University Building located in Gilbert’s Heritage District. On Aug. 1, the Gilbert Town Council approved a lease amendment in support of Park increasing its footprint from just under 11,000 square-feet to nearly 18,000 square-feet.

Park University’s Center for Global Peace Journalism will host a pair of events in the Kansas City area in late August featuring historian, journalist and peacebuilder Rajmohan Gandhi, the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, in celebration of the 150th anniversary of his birth.

Washington DC Area Graduates 2019

Park University’s Fort Myer (Va.) Campus, Headquarters Marine Corps/Headquarters Battalion Henderson Hall (Va.) Campus and Marine Corps Base Quantico (Va.) Campus held a combined commencement ceremony on Aug. 3 at Little Hall, MCB Quantico. The University had 85 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — seven students received a master’s degree, 66 students received a bachelor’s degree, one student received a bachelor’s degree and undergraduate certificate, and 11 students received an associate degree.

San Antonio Area Graduates 2019

Park University’s Lackland Air Force Base (Texas) Campus and Randolph Air Force Base (Texas) Campus held a combined commencement ceremony on Aug. 3 at the Phoenician Ballroom of the St. George Maronite Catholic Church in San Antonio. The University had 111 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — six students received a master’s degree, one student received a master’s degree and graduate certificate, 97 students received a bachelor’s degree and seven students received an associate degree.

Frasca Appointed to Senior Director Role

Park University has appointed Dana Frasca as senior director of network academic success. She began her role at Park on July 22 based at the University’s campus in Gilbert, Ariz.

El Paso Area Graduates 2019

Park University’s El Paso (Texas) Campus and Fort Bliss (Texas) Campus held a combined commencement ceremony on July 27 at the El Paso Convention and Performing Arts Center. The University had 207 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — 35 students received a master’s degree, 168 students received a bachelor’s degree, four students received a bachelor’s degree and undergraduate certificate, and eight students received an associate degree.
