Mountain Home AFB Graduates 2019

Park University’s Mountain Home Air Force Base (Idaho) Campus held its commencement ceremony on Nov. 15 on base. The University had 18 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — one student received a master’s degree, 15 students received a bachelor’s degree and two student received an associate degree.

Fore Appointed Gilbert Athletics Director

Park University has appointed Jeff Fore as director of athletics at the University’s Gilbert, Ariz., campus. Fore, who also serves as the Park–Gilbert women’s basketball head coach, began his additional duties on Nov. 4.

VFW Donation

November 7, 2019

Veterans of Foreign Wars National Commander William “Doc” Schmitz presented a $70,000 donation to Park University on Nov. 6 in support of the University’s research initiative into the awarding or denying of World War I military service medals based on possible racial bias.

Wright-Patterson AFB Graduates 2019

Park University’s Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (Ohio) Campus held its commencement ceremony on Nov. 3 at the Hope Hotel and Richard C. Holbrooke Conference Center on base. The University had 24 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — two students received a master’s degree, 21 students received a bachelor’s degree, and one student received a bachelor’s degree and associate degree.

DSC Columbus Graduates 2019

Park University’s Defense Supply Center Columbus (Ohio) Campus held its commencement ceremony on Nov. 2 at the Ohio History Connection in Columbus. The University had 38 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — five students received a master’s degree, 28 students received a bachelor’s degree, four students received an associate degree and one student received a bachelor’s degree and associate degree.

Longevity Awards 2019

Area 51 Discussion

October 7, 2019

Brent Geary, Ph.D., a historian with the Central Intelligence Agency and its Center for the Study of Intelligence, will present a discussion on “Very Secret, Very Cool, but not Aliens: The U-2, the A-12 and Area 51” at Park University on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The event will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Jenkin and Barbara David Theater within Alumni Hall on the University’s Parkville Campus. Admission to the discussion is free and open to the public.
