Student Employment
Park University offers part-time job opportunities through the Federal Work-Study Program and the Park Institutional Work-Study Program. These positions are a great way for students to gain valuable work experience while earning money to help cover educational expenses.
About Work-Study at Park
Work-study is designed to supplement your financial aid package—not replace it. It provides students with the opportunity to work part-time on or off campus while enrolled at Park University.
- Positions are available in various departments and locations including off campus positions.
- Open to all enrolled students who are eligible for either Federal or Institutional Work-Study.
- Offers hands-on experience, résumé building, and professional development.
Pay & Earnings
- Wages are based on the hours worked, like a regular job.
- Students can choose to be paid bi-weekly via direct deposit.
- Students may also choose to have all or a portion of their earnings applied toward current charges on their student bill by submitting a Work Study Authorization Form.
- Please Note: Work-study funds cannot be used to pay past-due balances.

hours & scheduling
- Students typically work 5 to 20 hours per week.
- Up to 25 hours per week are allowed with prior approval.
- Work hours must be scheduled around class times (no exceptions).
- Scheduling is coordinated with your Work-Study supervisor.
Work-Study Award Information
- Most students are awarded up to $6,600 per academic year (split between fall and spring semesters), a limited number of summer positions will be available for students enrolled in summer.
- Actual earnings depend on:
- Eligibility
- State minimum wage
- Department needs
- Total hours worked
- Awards are not guaranteed to be fully earned if hours are not worked.
Getting Started
To access student job listings, you must be enrolled in the current or upcoming semester/term. If you’re not enrolled, you won’t be able to log in to Workday.
Application Process
- Log in using your myPark username and password.
- Browse and apply.
- You may apply for more than one position.
- Jobs that begin with FWS, can only be filled with an applicant with Federal Work-Study eligibility. Contact the financial aid office for questions on federal work-study eligibility.
- Hiring managers will contact you to schedule an interview, but you are welcome to contact the hiring manager proactively.
- Once you have been selected by a department, Student Employment will reach out to communicate the on-boarding process.
- Student Employment will let your supervisor know once you can be scheduled to work.
- The supervisor will ensure that you are not scheduled to work during class time.
