Park ICM Student Selected for Van Cliburn International Piano Competition

Park University International Center for Music graduate student Ilya Shmukler is one of 30 competitors who have been selected to participate in the 16th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, which begins Thursday, June 2, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Josh Rowland, Ph.D., J.D., is the chief executive officer and vice chairman of Lead Bank, will present the keynote address during Park University’s Kansas City Area Commencement on Saturday, May 7. The ceremony will be held at the Community of Christ Auditorium in Independence, Mo., starting at 10 a.m.
Honors Convocation 2022

Park University students, faculty and staff were recognized for their exceptional scholarly efforts from the 2021-22 academic year as part of the University’s annual Honors Convocation held on April 20 on the flagship Parkville (Mo.) Campus. The University acknowledged outstanding students, faculty and staff with a variety of special awards, in addition to a number of departmental academic honors.

In celebration of the leadership achievements of Park University students, faculty and staff during the 2021-22 academic year, the Office of Student Life and the Park Student Government Association announced recipients of honors as part of the 27th annual Dr. Doris A. Howell Leadership Awards.
Gilbert Commencement 2022

Park University’s Gilbert (Ariz.) Campus will hold its inaugural commencement ceremony for graduates on Saturday, April 30, starting at 11 a.m. (Arizona time) at Paloma Community Church in Mesa, Ariz. About 70 students are expected to participate in the ceremony to receive their bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
ICM Orchestra Concert April 2022

The Park University International Center for Music Orchestra will conclude its 2021-22 concert season on Friday, April 8, under the direction of guest conductor Tim Hankewich. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. inside Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel on the University’s flagship Parkville Campus.
Competitive Academic Scholarships 2022 Announced

Park University has announced the recipients of competitive academic scholarships. These scholarships were awarded to current high school seniors who are expected to enroll in college starting with the Fall 2022 semester.
Park University Designated Military Friendly School by Viqtory

Park University has been designated as a Military Friendly School for 2022-23 by Viqtory. In fact, the University earned a Top 10 Award, ranking No. 6 in the “Private, Not Offering Doctorate” category.
