Special Admission Requirements & Application Procedures

See below for certain programs that have special admission requirements and/or application procedures.

Before you can apply to the Pre-Licensure BSN Program, you must first apply for admission to Park University.

Once admitted, you’ll need to complete all of the required prerequisite courses.

Students typically apply to the Pre-Licensure BSN Program during the semester prior to beginning the Nursing program.

Applications are open:
Spring semester: August 10 – December 1
Fall semester: January 15 – April 30

If you are a transfer student, please be sure to review your transcripts carefully and confirm that all prerequisite courses have been completed or are in progress. We strongly recommend working with a Student Success Coach to ensure that your transfer credits meet the program requirements.

Steps to Apply:

STEP 1. Submit an application to Park University.

In addition to completing the NursingCAS application, you must submit an application to Park University if you are not a current Park University student. Acceptance into the BSN program denotes acceptance to Park University as well. Apply to Park University.

STEP 2. Complete your NursingCAS Application.

  • Transcripts – Official Transcripts from any institution ever attended must be sent directly to NursingCAS from your college or university’s Registrar’s office.
  • Request at least three (3) references.
  • Complete TEAS Testing and upload your score report (Step 3).

STEP 3. TEAS Admission Testing.

  • TEAS admission testing is required for all applicants. The minimum score required for entrance is 60%.
  • You may only retake the exam one time, and there must be 4 weeks between your attempts.
  • There is a fee to take the TEAS.
  • Testing can be taken at ATItesting.com.

STEP 4. Submit your NursingCAS Application.

Application Deadlines: 

  • Fall 1/15 – 4/30
  • Spring 8/10 – 12/1

STEP 5. Interview.

If granted an interview, you will be scored based on your GPA, TEAS, etc.

*If selected for an interview, you will receive points based on your interview in addition to your TEAS score, GPA, experience and/or volunteer work in healthcare, community volunteer work, Military background, Park University attendance, and if you attended any nursing or health professional training in high school or otherwise.
