Modern Languages

About the Program

The Modern Languages program at Park University helps students acquire important communication tools that are increasingly vital in local, national and global communities by emphasizing oral and written communication, cultural fluency and study-abroad opportunities. It is designed for graduates who intend to participate in diverse cultural environments and function in a global economy throughout the millennium.

Through the Modern Languages program, you can earn a degree in Spanish or benefit from the additional coursework offered in several different languages, including French, German and Chinese. For a full listing of Modern Languages courses, see pages 316-320 of the 2013-14 Undergraduate Course Catalog.

Students graduating with a degree in Spanish are prepared through coursework in literature, culture and professional topics for a variety of careers in business, education, governmental and non-profit arenas. You are also welcome to combine the major with other academic disciplines or professional specializations. Business, education, law, the humanities, medicine, management and human services are just a few of the fields where complementary coursework in Spanish will expand your professional horizons and personal growth.
