Academic Support Center

At Park University, your success is our success.

Our services are free and available to all Park students. We help our students from their freshman year all the way through graduate school.  To schedule a virtual tutoring or mentoring appointment, go to Park Tutoring and Success Services.

We have both peer- and professional tutors to help with math, science, accounting, foreign language, computer science and many other subjects. Tutoring is available face to face, virtually, and real time help through Live Chat. To find out how to make an appointment and connect for free tutoring, join our Canvas course “Park Tutoring and Success Service“.

Our writing tutors can help with papers assigned in all subjects. Our tutors can help you at any stage of the writing process from first draft through final paper. Our tutors help students with citation styles and formatting and are great working with students who are still learning English. Writing help is available face-to-face, in real-time video conference, and through our online paper drop-off service. Find out more in our Canvas course Park Tutoring Help 2019.

Our own Canvas course called Student Success Resources 2019 includes online videos and other materials to help students learn how to be more successful in school. Topics include note taking tips, coping with test anxiety, documenting sources in APA and MLA styles, how to study for tests, and many more. The course is open for free self-enrollment for all Park students. Enroll today.

StepUP is a personalized mentoring program available to all Park students. Our mentors help students one-on-one with success skills, problem-solving, goal-setting, time management, effectively communicating with instructors, and more. They may also refer students to other offices in the university for help with specific issues. Mentoring is available face-to-face, in real-time video conference, and by phone.

We are pleased to provide academic accommodations and support for our students with documented disabilities. For more information about disability services, please see our website to learn how to request services and submit documentation.

Our Testing Center provides many services for Park University students, including placement testing for new students and make-up exams for students who have missed an exam. Our proctor will also provide testing accommodations for students with disabilities. We also proctor standardized tests like CLEP, DSST, MoGEA, and proctored exams for students of other colleges for a proctoring fee.
